THE MOVEMENT FOR GAMBLING REFORM
KICKOFF: SEPTEMBER 23, 2026 — WASHINGTON, DC
"Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did, and it never will."
— Frederick Douglass
truth and integrity:
the movement for gambling reform
For more than 150 years, sports belonged to the American people — shared by grandparents, parents, children, siblings, and communities.
Today, our professional sports leagues, the NCAA, and individual teams have become full-fledged members of the gambling establishment. Institutions once entrusted with protecting the integrity of American sports have partnered with gambling companies, prediction markets, and powerful technology and AI companies to transform sports into non-stop gambling platforms — where every pitch, snap, pass, possession, shot, and play presents another micro-betting opportunity.
The American public has had enough, and our voices will be heard.
Truth and Integrity: The Movement for Gambling Reform is a national call to action which will:
- Expose the truth.
- Restore integrity to American sports.
- Protect the American public with comprehensive federal safety standards governing the sports gambling and prediction market industries.
- Hold accountable those who have transformed games once built on competition and community into vehicles for continuous gambling.
truth and integrity:
Professional Sports and the NCAA Have Sold Their Integrity to the Gambling Industry
League commissioners once spoke the truth.
The leagues are now paid as full and complicit partners.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell —
Q. And there you state that your most important responsibility is maintaining the integrity of professional football and preserving public confidence in the NFL. What threats are there to the integrity of pro football in the United States?
A. "Gambling would be number one on my list."
"I think we still strongly oppose [among ownership] legalized sports gambling...The integrity of our game is No. 1. We will not compromise on that."
Former MLB Commissioner Bud Selig —
"Gambling is the deadliest of all things that can happen to a sport."
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman —
"[Our games may] become a vehicle for betting, which may in effect change the atmosphere in the stadiums and in the arenas."

The Public Kickoff
September 23, 2026
4:00 — 5:00 PM
SR-198 | Russell Senate Office Building
Washington, DC
September 23rd, 2026:
The kickoff event is taking place in a Senate office building, while Congress is in session, at the opening of football season — the point in the calendar when the industry's reach into American sports is at its widest and the leagues' gambling partnerships are most visible to the public.
This is an important and powerful moment. It is the opening of a sustained advocacy campaign advancing on three fronts:
- The United States Congress — investigative hearings, minimum federal safety standards, and legislation in the Senate and House.
- State Governments — comprehensive regulatory reform, with the option for safety standards beyond what Congress requires.
- The American People — advocacy, action, education, and demands for accountability and reform.
September 23rd is the next step in this growing national movement.
